📖 What Is Diopside?
Diopside is a mineral in the pyroxene group. It can display various colours resulting from impurities of iron, manganese, vanadium, and chromium. Diopside ranges in colour from white and pink to blue, green, purple, brown, and almost black. Green varieties are known as chrome diopside and lavrovite; blue and lilac varieties as violane; and light pink varieties as anthochroite. Almost black diopsides exhibit asterism (a four-rayed star appears when the stone is illuminated).

🍀 Cat’s-eye diopside and star diopside were traditionally regarded in the East as magical protective stones that shield their owners from various magical attacks and the evil eye.
