Many rituals rely on personal power and the power of words. And that power is not always sufficient. During a thunderstorm, you can multiply your power before performing a ritual.
When the first flash of lightning appears, recite the incantation as many times as you can before the next flash. This depends on the intensity of the storm: you may manage 2 repetitions, or perhaps 22. If the next lightning strike occurs halfway through the incantation, finish reciting it.
The Incantation
Heavenly thunder shall resound
And call my word to mind
The sky shall split with light
My word shall fill with power. Truly!
After this, you can proceed with the intended rite, whether it involves punishment, summoning a person, or workings to bind someone in love. Whether you work with the wind or with candles…
I also use this incantation to prepare for future work. If possible, collect rainwater during a thunderstorm. Hold a metal bowl in your hands (this is fundamentally important) and recite the incantation as many times as necessary until the bowl fills. Afterwards, you can filter the water and keep it in a cool, dark place. Rainwater does not keep for long; over time, especially in warmth, algae begin to grow in it. There is therefore no point in storing large quantities.
I do not recommend drinking this water. Before rituals, to receive additional power from the thunderstorm water, apply it to the active points: the areas of the third eye, throat, and solar plexus (the 3rd, 5th, and 6th chakras), the wrists, and the soles of the feet.
You can also use it in cleansing rituals: wash your face with it while reciting the incantation appropriate to the ritual.
If you have a close connection with gods of thunder and lightning (Thor, Zeus, Perun, and others), you can invoke them before collecting the water. Set out a candle and recite your customary praise and invocation to the deity; you can place the deity’s symbol (a hammer or lightning bolt) in the bowl. In this way, the water can be strengthened with the god’s power.
Thunderstorm water contains two elements: the element of Water itself and the element of Fire. Such water possesses active energy for powerful workings, such as strengthening a ritual or bringing about radical changes.
